Why it is trending
With new Star Wars content dropping on streaming and the summer nostalgia season hitting full stride, collectors and casual fans alike are jumping back into vintage Kenner figures from the 1977 to 1985 run, pushing sales volume up 26 percent over the usual pace.
What to look for
Check the inside of the leg or back of the torso for the COO stamp, which lists country of origin like Hong Kong, Taiwan, or Mexico, as certain country variants command strong premiums. Look for the original lightsaber or weapon accessory still with the figure, since complete examples pull the top end of the $6.75 to $200 range. Confirm the figure is a true Kenner piece by finding the Kenner copyright mark molded into the plastic, usually near the belt line or lower back.
